Crushed Concrete

Price

C$8.50

Crushed Concrete is a recycled aggregate made by processing old concrete through a jaw crusher. The material is broken down into a blend of coarse chunks mixed with fines. This creates a compactable, budget-friendly base material widely used for construction, fill, and roadwork across Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley. Because it drains moderately well, packs tightly, and is significantly more affordable than quarried rock, crushed concrete is one of Kel-Mor’s popular products.

  • Backfilling large excavations

  • Sub-base for barns, shops, agricultural buildings

Material Properties

  • Compaction: Good — fines help lock the material together
  • Drainage: Moderate — porous but not as free-draining as round rock
  • Stability: Strong enough for building pads and light industrial projects
  • Texture: Blend of rough broken concrete pieces and granular fines
  • Performance: Creates a dense, stable surface when compacted

Good to Know

  • Produced entirely from recycled concrete brought to our yard

  • An economical choice for large-volume fill or base work

  • Fines help it pack much tighter than coarse recycled rock

  • Not typically used for decorative landscaping

  • Suitable for machine-compacted structural support when engineered fill isn’t required

  • Popular with paving companies, foundation crews, and agricultural builders
