3/4 inch road base is a crushed aggregate blend ranging from 3/4 inch stone down to fine quarry dust. Made from blasted rock, this material contains no added sand — the fines are naturally produced during the crushing process. The result is a dense, angular mix that compacts extremely well and creates a strong, stable surface.

 

Known by several names including road gravel, road rock, and road base, this is one of the most widely used materials in construction and landscaping. Its ability to lock together under compaction makes it ideal for projects that require long-term durability and load-bearing strength.
